Sourcing and Procurement Specialist

Sourcing and Procurement Specialist

Location: Toronto

Rally has an opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as a Sourcing and Procurement Specialist. The Sourcing and Procurement Specialist is responsible for all sourcing and purchasing activities as well as overall operation of the function. The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting the company’s ambitious plans for the growth of the business.



  • Sourcing: Develop and lead Sourcing strategies and activities including all steps in the sourcing process (vendor selection, Request for Quotes RFQ, change management, contract negotiations, dispute resolutions etc.). Identifies new sources of supply, and potentially acceptable new products/technologies.
  • Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead and participates in negotiation sessions with vendors. Prepares, implements, and audits compliance with appropriate contract. Resolves issues regarding vendor delivery of assurance, quality, service, and documents resolution.
  • Vendor Management and Performance Tracking: Manages, monitors, reports, and seeks to continuously improve vendor performance. Acts as a primary point of contact for vendor interactions and conducts vendor performance assessments. Maintains a working knowledge of vendor’s organization, product lines, contractual agreements, and terms. Analyzes vendor spend and recommends consolidation or redirection to preferred vendors.
  • Procure to Pay: Develop and lead all procurement strategies and activities including all steps in the procure to pay process (PR, quotes, PO, approvals, goods-receipt, payment, etc.). Establish/maintain professional relationships with vendors/partners, based on the highest ethical business practices.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide timely and professional services to all business units (Network, IT, Managed Services, Sales & Marketing, HR, Operations). Lead or participate on teams to ensure appropriate stakeholders are aware of sourcing and procurement initiatives as needed. Become familiar with the various vendors and product lines available in for each business unit. Assist stakeholders by analyzing their business to identify potential savings through vendor consolidation.
  • System Development and Support: Develop and support sourcing and procurement systems and lead training for all stakeholders. Ensure all vendor information is accurately maintained and that all agreements are catalogued in the contract/document management system.



  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in sourcing and procurement including strategy development, contract negotiation and governance
  • Requires solid computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use business systems software
  • Highly motivated individual capable of handling multiple responsibilities and working independently
  • Ability to bring teams together to achieve targets and goals (including cost savings)
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, planning, administration and team skills
  • Solid project management skills to facilitate project/program compliance
  • Strong influencing, communication, and facilitative skills

Field Service Technicians – Residential Services (2 openings)

Location: Toronto

Rally has an opportunity for a customer service oriented individual to be part of our growing Residential Services team as a Field Services Technician. The successful individual will play an important role in deploying and servicing Rally’s expanding footprint of internet and television services through the installation and support of our broadband networking infrastructure and is someone who embraces Rally’s culture of providing our clients with the highest level of quality, service and safety.

• Implement and maintain Fibre, Ethernet and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) networks
• Install, splice, terminate (crimp), test and troubleshoot fiber optic, copper twisted pair and Ethernet
• Deploy optical line termination (OLT) devices, IPTV set-top boxes, routers, access points, network switches and powerline adapters
• Maintain and update site documentation, work orders and site inventory. Create incident and fault reports as required
• Deploy, configure and provision firmware updates on network infrastructure such as routers, access points (APs), network switches, IPTV set-top boxes and optical line termination (OLT) devices
• Interface with external stakeholders (clients) and internal stakeholders (operations & network teams)
• Identify issues, respond to queries, and provide explanation/assistance relating to network project activity in a professional manner


• Experience crimping RJ45 and RJ11 Ethernet cables (STP, SSTP, UTP)
• Experience testing various types of Telecom cables (Ethernet, Coax, Fibre)
• Experience with terminating/splicing different types of fibre optic cables (single-mode fibres, multimode fibre, and plastic optical fibres.)
• Knowledge of Wi-Fi standards
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to lift up to 70lbs
• Ability to work in collaboration with others
• Valid Driver’s License G and clean abstract
• Completion of High School/Secondary School or equivalent
• Previous experience as a telecommunications technician or equivalent an asset
• Solid organizational and problem solving skills
• Good communications skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with minimal direction
• Flexibility to do shift work including occasionally weekends and holidays
